Project Description
The Client is currently executing an in-hand project for a Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Power Plant at Helwan Cement Factory and has commissioned Diar Consulting Group to undertake the design of the Firefighting (FF) and Fire Alarm (FA) systems for the Steam Turbine Generator (STG) building.
Scope of Work
The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. Firefighting System Works:
- Preparation of detailed firefighting design drawings for the control section within the STG building.
- Preparation of detailed firefighting design drawings for the turbine section within the STG building.
- Design of specialized fire suppression systems for electrical and control rooms.
- Design of the firefighting pump room, including associated water storage tanks.
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for all designed systems.
- Verification of the firefighting system at the tie-in point with the existing turbine building network.
- Hydraulic recalculation of the firefighting system, including pump head, flow requirements, and associated specifications.
2. Fire Alarm System Works:
- Preparation of detailed fire alarm design drawings for the control section within the STG building.
- Preparation of detailed fire alarm design drawings for the turbine section within the STG building.
- Design of specialized fire detection and suppression systems for electrical and control rooms.
- Coordination of fire alarm requirements related to the pump room and associated tank systems.
- Preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications for the fire alarm systems.
