El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals (NCIC) operates large-scale industrial complexes in Egypt, primarily focused on fertilizer and chemical production, which include dedicated power generation components to support their operations.
NCIC planed to develop a 30 MW Tri-generation power plant that efficiently utilizes natural gas (NG) as a single energy source to produce 3 forms of energy:
1- Electrical power
2- Superheated steam
3- Cooling via an absorption chiller
The system is designed to recover exhaust heat from the engines to generate steam and drive the absorption refrigeration system, maximizing overall energy efficiency.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated on Monday morning 26/12/2022 two plants for the production of medical and industrial gas and a tri-generation plant in the chemical industries complex in Abu Rawash, Giza.
Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Defense Minister Mohamed Zaki welcomed the president upon his arrival at the Chemicals Complex in Abu Rawash.
Scope of Work – Engineering Services (Process Area)
The project scope covers comprehensive engineering services for the process area, including the following:
1- Engineering Studies and Design:
Conduct detailed engineering studies and develop designs for the process areas, including interconnecting piping systems between major equipment such as engines, boilers, and auxiliary modules.
2- Piping Design:
Prepare detailed piping isometric drawings for all relevant systems within the project.
3- Stress Analysis:
Perform stress analysis for critical piping lines to ensure system integrity and compliance with applicable standards.
4- Structural Support Design:
Design steel structures and piping supports to ensure safe and reliable operation.
5- Electrical Systems Design:
Develop the electrical design required for the power plant systems.
6- Process & Instrumentation:
Prepare Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and perform hydraulic calculations to validate system performance.
