Project Brief – LOBP 6th October Oil Lubricant Plant Extension

Scope: FEED and Detailed Engineering, Construction Supervision
Project Overview:
Shell plans to implement an extension to its Oil Lubricant Plant in 6th October City. The expansion includes:
· Two new storage tanks (~250 tons each)
o One tank for Additives LUBAD 1397
o One tank for GTL base oil
o Each tank equipped with a dedicated pump
· Process & Utility Piping including pipe racks and supports to serve all new facilities
· 8” HDPE stormwater and oily water drainage line for the two tanks and shredder, with tie-in to the existing oily water system
· Heat tracing system for tanks and piping
· Two truck sample point collection platforms (steel structure)
· Painting and insulation of all relevant facilities

Engineering & Design:
Diar Consulting Group is responsible for FEED and Detailed Engineering for the plant extension, covering:
· Process Engineering
· Piping Engineering and 3D Modeling
· Instrumentation & Control Systems
· Electrical Engineering
· Mechanical Engineering & Tanks Design
· Machinery
· Civil and Structural Engineering
Construction & Supervision:
· Site supervision for all disciplines
· Construction management, including coordination across process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil/structural works
Installation & Implementation:
· Installation of new storage tanks and dedicated pumps
· Installation of process & utility piping and pipe racks/supports
· Implementation of stormwater and oily water drainage lines with tie-ins
· Installation of heat tracing system
· Painting and insulation works
· Installation of truck sample collection platforms
