Project Brief:
Suez Methanol Factory at Damietta stretches over a plot area of approximately 45,000 m2 and comprises three main processing plants as follows: Formaldehyde and Formalin, Urea Formaldehyde Resins (UFR) and Sulphonated Naphtha-lene Formaldehyde (SNF) Plants.
This adds to raw material storage warehouses and tanks, finished product tanks, and utilities plants (compressed air, nitrogen, acids and caustic soda, process water, chilled water, natural gas and electric power supply).
The process know-how and concept for the SNF and UFR plants is provided by ZAVWOM and for the Formaldehyde and Formalin Plant by Johnson Matthey.
